	How will climate change, peak oil, water shortages, increasing healthcare costs, social injustice and other critical global issues impact us here in San Juan County? We are more well-informed than any generation before us, so we are all aware of the enormity and complexity of the global challenges facing us. It's time to move past the doom and gloom. Using a lively interactive process, this workshop will review the latest trends and examine and answer these questions: How will your work and home life be impacted? What will your energy and food bills look like in a few years? What can you do to prepare? Are there opportunities for turning “lemons” in to lemonade? Of over 3000 counties in the United States, SJC is the only one composed solely of islands. What are the limitations and opportunities in this geopolitical anomaly? Join us for a daylong exploration of global trends that will change our lives. We will review the latest information on key challenges that affect us here in the islands. We will explore which issues will have the greatest local impact and brainstorm ways we can prepare and innovate as individuals, and as a community.
